I am really tired of these movies portraying the eighties as good time. The eighties sucked. it was a time where consumerism was at its peak. Polo shirts cost an arm and a leg but if you were caught wearing a shirt with an alligator on it forget it. Big hair was out of control and it costs you hair spray, hair gel and hair mousse, who the hell ever uses hair mousse anymore.
TV was bad with A-team, Magnum P.I., Riptide, Knight Rider, the list goes on, every show the villains were either Ninjas or Russians and yet there were never any russian ninjas. Not that today is a lot better but at least we all learned from C.S.I., to wear gloves if we ever want to kill someone.
It’s simply a decade that needed to end and thank god it did, now stop making movies about it.
